Peckham Park Road Baptist Church – Part-Time Financial Admin Assistant

There is a vacancy for a part time financial admin assistant, to work 7.5hrs per week. £12 per hour (£4680pa) (possibility of hours increase in the future)

Core responsibilities:
Recording all inbound and outbound financial transactions via QuickBooks. Accounting System (training provided) Completing banking weekly. Managing all invoices for payment, gaining approval for payment, writing cheques and presenting for signature. Preparing and issuing invoices for all areas of the church. Managing the payroll process for both regular recipients and temporary and ad hoc contractors / support staff. Managing the gift aid process both payments in and appropriate claims.  Reconciling records with bank statements monthly and annually.

Facilities management:
Managing utilities such as gas and electricity meter readings, managing photocopier contract admin and other external contracts.  Ordering stationery and all office supplies. Co-ordinating annual events: church holiday and summer event, negotiating facilities, issuing notifications and invoices. Recording payments and issuing receipts. There will be ad hoc duties and occasional projects to get involved with. This is a busy, people focused role. Candidates must be able to display exceptional communication skills, a strong eye for detail and an ability to identify what needs to be done.
